Rowdy Little Girl

Carrie had another check-up today. Here in Germany, once you reach the third trimester, they hook you up to a fetal monitor for 20 minutes at every appointment. Seems simple enough...if you have a baby that cooperates! Our little girl definitely did not want to cooperate today. About 2 minutes after the nurse found the heartbeat and then left the room, the baby would move so that we couldn't hear her heartbeat anymore. I think a nurse had to come back into the room about 10 times to reposition Carrie and/or the monitor! Carrie ended up being hooked up for close to an hour before they finally decided that they had enough data to say everything looked good. Obviously, this is Kurt's daughter! =)

Most importantly, everything looks good and both Carrie and the baby are healthy.

2 years down, only 1 more to go!

It's hard to believe that we've been in Germany for 2 years! This past year we had a great time hanging out and traveling with friends. Highlights for us were having our family and friends visit us. We really enjoyed catching up with you and showing you around Germany!

We seemed to enjoy doing things in pairs this year: 2 visits to Prague, 2 trips to Austria, 2 family visits, 2 trips to Oktoberfest, and 2 wedding anniversary trips ;) We also had fun in Spain, France, and Poland.

For our last year here, we're looking forward to meeting our daughter, more visits from family and friends (everyone is welcome!), and of course hanging out with all the wonderful friends we've made here in Germany!

Last weekend, we celebrated our 2nd year anniversary in Germany with Melanie and Adam (who arrived here a week before we did), and Ashley and Matt. We had a delicious American meal of sloppy joes, cornbread casserole, and apple crisp!

Baby Campbell at 24 Weeks

Carrie had another doctor's appointment last week. So far everything is still looking good and the baby is growing and gaining weight normally. She's over a pound now! We were also relieved to find out that Carrie's glucose levels were well within the normal range so she doesn't have to worry about gestational diabetes.
