It's hard to believe that there's less than 1 month until Carrie's due date (May 27). The past 8 months have flown by! Carrie is still feeling well and enjoying pregnancy but we're getting more excited each day to meet the little one.
A few of our friends made predictions about the day Carrie will actually give birth and how big the baby would be. Leave us a comment with your predictions!

5 weeks...give or take...to go!
Carrie has had two appointments since the last post...at this stage, she's going every 2 weeks for checkups. The appointment on 7 April, showed that both Carrie and the baby are doing well. The baby was a little over 5 pounds and had a lot of fun doing a kickboxing class during the fetal monitoring session. Unfortunately, the sonogram pictures aren't very clear and good for posting.
Today's (20 April) checkup appointment went well. The baby is approximately 6 pounds and 45 cm (17.5 inches) long. All her dimensions: femur length, abdomen and head circumferences, heart beat, blood flow, etc are all normal. And she's definitely a girl...which is good because we have quite a few dresses ready for her to wear! Unfortunately, Carrie's iron levels and blood pressure are still low, but for the most part, she's still feeling well.
The past few weeks, we've had amazing weather and we've been able to take walks frequently. Carrie finds that she gets tired faster on these walks than before, but it's to be expected at this stage I guess.
Here is Carrie on 9 April at the start of 34 weeks:

Happy Easter!
Even though Easter wasn't early this year, it seemed to sneak up on us rather quickly. I guess we've been occupied with baby preparation lately.
As the previous 2 Easters that we've been in Germany, we celebrated at Melanie and Adam's. This year there were about 30 people there. Luckily, we had terrific weather and were able to enjoy some sun out on their balcony as we ate delicious food that everyone brought to share. As usual, Melanie and Adam went all out and even had an Easter egg hunt for the kids that were there!

Surprise Shower!
Our coworkers surprised both of us with a huge baby shower on Friday 10 April. There were at least 25-30 people there; along with tons of cookies, cake, and ice cream; and a table full of gifts. We were both completely surprised! Apparently, there had been emails going back and forth about it for at least 1 month...really, it was amazing that they were all able to keep it a secret from the two of us. The one game that was played was for Kurt and 5 other guys...they had a race to see who could finish juice from a baby bottle first. It was really fun to watch 6 grown men drinking from baby bottles! Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures.
Here is a picture of the gifts that our generous co-workers gave us:

Kurt Games in Köln
The weekend of April 4, Kurt went to a game convention in Köln with a group of guys. They had a lot of fun walking through vendor booths, checking out new games and splurging on additions to their current games. They also had fun partaking in some games.
Here are some pictures from their boys' weekend:
