At the beginning of the month, we received a note from daycare titled, I am Growing! We generally receive these when Emma has transitioned to a new classroom. Since she's no where close to turning 4, I pretty much disregarded it. Later that week, I found out that her whole class did in fact move up to the 4 year old room or Skill Builder room. I was shocked. Generally, the transitions are 2 weeks or so and fall close to the child's birthday. I found out that this year (they operate on a school schedule) they moved the entire class up together. One of her teachers, Ms. Kim stayed with them and joined the Skill Builder teacher, Ms. Renee. Of course this type of transition has pros and cons. One thing that disappoints us about this is that we look forward to Emma transitioning to rooms with older kids. In the two weeks that she is with them she develops in leaps and bounds. On the plus side, aside from getting used to a new physical room, the kids don't have any stress about being separated from their teacher and friends.
At any rate, it's crazy that we have a kid in the 4 year old room!
