We had a quiet morning on the 4th of July, in the late afternoon, we went over to Colin, Melissa, Cameron, and Claire's house. It was H-O-T, hot! The kids had a great time in the kiddo pool and running around their yard. As always Colin and Melissa, out did themselves with food and we had a scrumptious cookout! Mia split her time in the bouncer between inside and outside, since she doesn't do too well in the heat. She also clocked some naked baby time outside. :)
We headed home around bath time and a tired Emma went right to bed. Kurt and I then watched the Capitol 4th on PBS -- twice! It's so fun to listen to the patriotic music and see the fireworks!
Maybe next year, we'll be able to get somewhere and let Emma see fireworks (and Mia too I suppose! :) ).
